The 2017 DDW satellite symposium is designed to deliver a focused, educational update that will highlight the most clinically relevant advances in the management of patients with common GI disorders such as IBS, IBD, and CDI. The symposium will be presented in a format similar to that utilized in TED talks—i.e., powerful presentations intended to stir curiosity, challenge assumptions, and stimulate conversation. Just as TED talks focus on “ideas worth spreading,” the topics in this symposium will be relevant and actionable for attendees to employ with individual patients in their own clinical practices.

Target Audience:

This activity hs been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists and other healthcare providers involved int he car of patients with the disease states of gut microbiome in gastrointerstinal health and disease, with a particular focus on irritable bowel syndorem (IBD) and Clostirdium difficile infection (CDI). Other related topics: irritable bowel syndrome (IBS, obesity, fatty liver disease, celiac disease, and a broad range of other important disease states.
