This activity is designed for managed markets physicians and pharmacists.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants should be able to:
- Summarize the prevalence and clinical and economic burden of ADHD in children and adults
- Describe the importance of consistent ADHD management to improve outcomes and avoid comorbidities
- Outline current data regarding the benefits and limitations of traditional, new, and emerging pharmacotherapies for ADHD management
- Apply the evidence to assist in implementation of effective strategies for the screening, diagnosis, and management of ADHD
Activity Overview
The teleconference lecture will be presented on 4 dates in May by Jeffrey H. Newcorn, MD, and Julie A. Dopheide, PharmD, BCPP, with a live question-and-answer session following each presentation.
- Monday, May 21, 2-3 pm ET
- Wednesday, May 23, 1-2 pm ET
- Thursday, May 24, 3-4 pm ET
- Thursday, May 31, Noon-1 pm ET
To participate, dial toll-free 800-803-7101 approximately 5 minutes before the scheduled time of the teleconference. Upon calling in, provide the activity code, ADHD.
An activity booklet, including the lecture slides, post-test, and evaluation form, will be forwarded to each participant prior to the start of the teleconference series. To be eligible for documentation of credit, all participants must attend a full teleconference event, complete the 10-question post-test with a score of 70% or better, and complete the evaluation form. Participants who successfully complete the post-test and evaluation form online may immediately print their documentation of credit. Those who mail or fax back their successfully completed post-test and evaluation form will receive documentation of credit by mail within 6 weeks.
There is no fee associated with this activity.
CME Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Cincinnati and Princeton CME. The University of Cincinnati is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
